Story was first heard on network radio in 1938, read by John Nesbitt on the Gulf Oil program.

The Childhood Dreams World Peace Concert was a featured event of Symposium 2000, held in Nashville, Tennessee, September 30 - October 15, 2000. Symposium 2000 was produced by Tennessee Players and sponsored by Vanderbilt University. The Executive Director of the 16-day event was Thurston Moore.
